Shelbie Sherbet (Concept #1)

Shelbie’s quiet and uneventful life ended the moment her hometown was taken over by a powerful imp who charmed the entire population into worshipping him.

Luckily, her cries of help reached the pointy ears of another powerful imp, Lacie, who swiftly put an end to the captor’s short-lived reign (with some help, of course).

Despite her inability to discern left from right (or more worryingly good from bad), this once pure pixie is now hell-bent on following her devilish hero to the ends of the earth.

With exceptional healing powers and her trusty mace Gloria (now nicknamed “Macie”), Shelbie is capable of soothing her friend’s wounds, or to Lacie’s dismay, expressing her gratitude a little more…physically.

Candy Canis (Concept #1)

Beastkin are well-known for their savage and ferocious nature. Candy, on the other hand, spent most of her years as a cub with her robot friend Peppermint, as they both tried to understand what it meant to be human. Before long, Candy’s clan forbade her from visiting the city and demanded she learn how to hunt like the animal she inevitably would become.

Over the years, Candy trained herself to separate humanity’s refined traits from a beastkin’s wild side. However, when your childhood friend sporadically rolls up to your village’s doorstep in a giant washing machine screaming at the top of her mechanical lungs “let’s go on an adventure together!”, who could say no?

Candy’s super strength, heightened sense of smell and quick reflexes puts her on the front line of her friend’s defences. While her usual temperament is fairly relaxed and stoic, waking her up in the middle of an afternoon nap is more than enough to unleash the beast within.

Peppermint Prototype (Concept #1)

A super-charged, multi-functional android with the mind of a genius and the creativity of a nine-year-old. Peppermint is the product of Dr. Spearmint and Prof. Watermint, designed to manufacture an entire array of extremely boring appliances. As with most machines who hit automated adolescence, Peppermint was fed up with making biometric toasters and yearned to create something much more fun.

Leaving behind a copy of her hard drive on a memory stick along with a single file titled thanks for everything.txt, Peppermint departed from the Mintworks factory in search of something, or someone, she could test her revolutionary (and incredibly dangerous) gadgets on.

Lacie Liquorice (Concept #1)

Heir to the throne of the underworld but with zero intention of ruling a bunch of imps for all eternity, Lacie pilfered her family’s coffers and slipped away to the mortal realm. Once topside, she sought out a lifestyle that was more suited to her character; crazy, crass, and a little bit chaotic.

Unfortunately, Lacie’s penniless, heirloom-less, and pissed off family are determined to bring her rebellious rump back underground by any means necessary.

Despite having almost no redeeming traits (since apparently being a massive dick doesn’t count), Lacie possesses an almost otherworldly amount of charm. The unbreakable bonds she has formed with her friends come in pretty handy for someone who ends up in trouble or behind bars every week.
