Dev Blog Update #22

Good news first, I am getting back into the games industry!

Which is directly related to the bad news – updates!

Simply, I have no time to put into making webcomics like I used to.

When I started drafting Crazy Sunshine, I was a little cog in the Japanese education system.

Five years later, I have grown enough roots to get back into what I love the most: making videogames.

I am in the middle of finishing up the little cliffhanger arc that I started last year, releasing it before the year is over, but when we roll over into 2016, I will be focusing on changing the direction of Crazy Sunshine entirely.

Don’t worry, I have no intention of  abandoning the universe and its host of crazy characters.

Instead, I would rather the site move away from the standard webcomic format and focus more on developing the universe, its lore, and its inhabitants through a series of non-sequential excerpts.

This will allow me to explore many different styles and really practice my underdeveloped writing ability, in my own time and at my own pace.

The current comics will be taken offline, archived, and re-uploaded as complete .zip files to view at any time in the future.

There’s lots of ideas running through my head, but for the time being, I need to tie up all these loose ends.

I will also be rolling out major site and social media changes throughout 2016.

Thanks for all your support so far, and I hope you enjoy whatever kind of work I manage to pump out from now on, wish me luck!

  1. I was an ancient fan from back in 2011/12, glad to see this is still up and running!

Speaking of 2011/12, the archives don’t seem to go past 2013. Is this due to your website rearrangements or are they gone forever?

Keep up the good work, both on and offline!

    1. There’s a mention on the wiki of archive files of the old comics being available, although I can’t seem to find them anywhere. (I might have overlooked them, or maybe they’re not up yet as the site updates are still in-progress).

Anyway, grats on stuff and good luck with everything!

  2. Glad to know to know the wacky adventures of Peppermint and her “friends” will continue.
    Even if it’ll take time.

  3. Looking forward to what’s coming. I was wondering how this Crazy Sunshine will grow in light of your increasing life advancements.

    Keep it up!
